When you plan your own wedding, the last thing you want to do is to also plan your honeymoon! My now husband Tim and I were in this exact situation when we talked to Erin at Pale Blue about planning a trip for us. We knew we wanted to go somewhere for just a few days (a mini moon if you will) after the wedding but we weren’t sure where, and when Erin suggested a mystery trip, we were sold! We knew that this option would allow us to relax and enjoy our wedding without having to worry about the honeymoon.

We received a packing list from Erin about 2 weeks out from the trip so we knew what to pack. We had a lot of fun trying to guess where we were going based on just that list! The week before, she gave us our “goodie bag” of things we would need at our destination, airport instructions, and our plane tickets in a sealed envelope. When we got to the airport (exhausted, as newlyweds so often are!), we were delighted to find that we were going to Washington, D.C.! It was a destination that we would have never thought to pick for ourselves if we were planning, but it was perfect!

The goodie bag Erin had given us had so much information. From a Metro map and Uber gift card, to a customized restaurant guide, she had thought of everything! Once we arrived, we enjoyed the continual adventures she had planned for us.  We checked in to our hotel right off of the National Mall before heading out to a beautiful included dinner at Le Diplomate with a customized menu and a congratulatory card. An escape room-type adventure at the Spy Museum was on the docket the next day, and there was still plenty of time for us to explore the city on our own, with the help of the guide Pale Blue provided.  Everything was packaged in a way that let us relax and enjoy our vacation while providing us with events to be excited for.

Our flight home was cancelled the morning we were supposed to leave, but Erin got us booked on another one as fast as humanly possible. We had such an amazing time on our trip, and would recommend Erin and Pale Blue to anyone in a heartbeat! Erin was such an amazing resource, before, during, and after our trip and without her, our honeymoon would not have been the same! Thank you for making our honeymoon so special and unique to us!
